Green all around

I am happy to say that once again I'm enjoying  the beauties of Mexico. My friends and Family are a very important part of my life, and eventhough I'm not spending Christmas with my parents, I know that this year is going to be amazing. I was lucky enough to visit some new places in this beautiful country. These pictures are from a park  at Uruapan, Mexico. I fell in love with this place and its relaxing enviroment. It was like being lost in a fantasy land apart from the world. I truly miss Chicago but, Mexico has a special place in my heart. I am very proud of my roots and culture. I just wish Michelle was here enjoying all of this with me.
After Uruapan, I visited Colima, Guadalajara, and Tepic... I found a beautiful shop at Colima. I will upload those pictures soon. I hope everyone is having an amazing time.
Happy Holidays!

P.S. Michelle, I miss you!

All of This

I hope you have enjoyed these photos as much as us taking them. A cold wind has been taking over Chicago, so America and I have been innovating and being creative with indoor backgrounds. Like America said in the last post, WE ARE SO READY FOR WINTER WEATHER! Chicago is the best. We get to experience all four seasons and it is a blast. From extreme 90° weather to blizzards, I must say I enjoy the adventures -- being on the CTA bus sweating bullets due to lack of air conditioning or becoming numb with frostbite waiting at the bus stop...yup, that's Chitown. But, it also means that we have a variety of clothing and styles! So watch out, cause these Chitown girls aren't so shy ;)

Lights Out

Sometimes I love this wonderful weather, and sometimes I hate it. All the amazing things that that you can do when it's cold outside... put on a skirt and a pair of high socks... jackets, boots, beanies, sweaters, oh la la! sweaters! But, there are also those mornings when you just think about how cold it is outside and makes you want a slip into some sweatpants, a hoodie, and watch Friends all afternoon... Yes, I've been there, more times than what I usually admit. However, it's always worth it to put on a little make up and some nice clothes, even if you're only going out for five minutes.
Michelle edited these pictures, and I truly love them. I've always thought that you need to be really patient when it comes to editing, and unfortunately that's a gift I don't have. But, with Michelle is another story, she has talent... :)

Randolph Street Market // CHICAGO

Today I had the opportunity to go to the Randolph Street Market here in Chicago, and as usual it was awesome. Michelle couldn't come with me because right now she is too busy with school, so yeah... sadly she missed all the fun. Lovely day for an outside vintage market today...nothing better than a perfect weather on a Sunday. Even though, I've been wanting some skirts... I kinda went crazy with jewelry and spend all my money on rings and bracelets hahaaha. So yeah... no skirts for me today. However, I saw the Lovely Samantha Balk at her lovely store Rose Vintage. Sam also introduce me to another lovely lady that has a vintage online shop (VISIT HER SITE HERE: DETH ROSE VINTAGE)Sam and Karyn are the most cute and lovely shop owners I've met... haha they're so adorable. Anyways... Today was a fantastic day... can't wait for the next vintage market woohoo!.

Emmy 2012: Red Carpet

Michelle and I watch the Emmy's every year... well, not so true... we just watch the red carpet... and the comedy nominations hahaha!. There is something about watching AMAZING and HORRIBLE dresses walking down a red carpet that just fascinate us.
Well, Well, Well... This is what we thought of these year's looks.

Michelle's Top 5

Best: January Jones
January Jones looked absolutely fantastic in a Zac Posen gown. She kept her hole look black, but successfully made it chic and innovative with her peep-toe platforms. Her hair and smokey eye really did the trick of looking modern and beautiful with a pale skin tone.

Worst: Emilia Clarke
Although, this is a truly cute dress because of the contrasting white and purple, Emilia did not look as gorgeous in that Chanel dress as I would've expected. Even though, a perfectly juvenile dress, it did not flaunt her shape at all. Those white "wings" on her sides were random and unnecessary, I would have preferred to see her in a long gown that glistened with her pretty face.

America's Top 5

 Best: Julia Louis-Dreyfus
I have no words to describe how in love I am with this Julia's dress, she looked PERFECT. The color, the design, the use of the fabric, the way it fits her body... I just have no words. If I could have that dress in m hands right now... wow!. Thank you again Vera Wang for creating such beautiful and excellent pieces.

Worst: Marya Veronica
I had so many unfavorite dresses listed... but, I definetly had to go with Marya Veronica's one. I really don't get what she was trying to acomplish with this look. First of all, wasn't it like 90 degrees outside that day? Who, WHO wears gloves when is burning hot outside?! It just freaks me out... Maybe without the gloves I would consider... never mind, this is a distaster, even for prom.

Perfect Timing

Samantha Balk owner of Rose Vintage - http://threadesque.blogspot.com/

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting us! Hopefully you all had a great weekend. America and I spent our Sunday happily. We went to the Vintage Bazaar/Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park, which also displayed a Vintage outburst! It was absolutely fantastic and definitely overwhelming! We found a bunch of things we adored, specifically, I found the swimsuit I was looking for this entire summer. I bought it at Rose Vintage and we even met blogger Samantha Balk! Besides those two highlights, America found some high-waisted shorts and all I can say is that she looks rockin'! (P.S. she also got herself a rock n' roll t-shirt). I also found myself a pair of high-waisted pleated shorts and a 1950's styled sundress, which I'm totally excited to try out... sometime next summer? :) Here, in Chicago, the weather is beginning to transform from a hot vibrant summer to a chilly somber autumn, so America and I are preparing our new eccentric autumn outfits! So keep up! See ya!

P.S. Don't forget to visit Sam's lovely BLOG(:
